Ai Lighting have played a key role in the contribution to the client’s zero carbon strategy across the whole campus, a complex and challenging project with various custom designed luminaires manufactured using our circular economy philosophy which left the client with a fully maintainable lighting & control system.
Overview:
The main Hazardous Chemical Storage Facility was classified as Zone 2 Ex, as part of the NRRG program the client specification outlined the requirement for an element of control within a low occupancy environment.
Solution:
Ai Lighting completed a site survey to accurately assess the potential for energy and carbon savings. Due to the nature of the project Ai Lighting had the challenge of implementing a lighting and control system into an ATEX environment.
Ai Lighting implemented one of Europe’s first completed certified wireless ATEX luminaires, providing a full technical submission for evaluation. This enabled the client to safely opt for a wireless solution whilst remaining compliant.
